Process Engineer

Overview Identify and implement improvements to processes and procedures that will increase capacity, reduce cost; improve safety and quality of Afton's global supply chain manufacturing processes. Troubleshoot existing processes to improve on stream time and operating efficiency. Work in a team environment with operations and other members of the Unit Operating Teams. Identify opportunities to improve mechanical and instrumentation reliability. Utilize process improvement methodologies including Lean Six Sigma to increase Afton's profits. Responsibilities Track operating performance of production units. Identify causes of departure from operational excellence and initiate corrective action. Troubles shoot existing processes and initiate corrective action to improve on stream time and operating efficiency. Identify and implement improvements to processes and procedures that will increase capacity, reduce cost, improve safety and quality of chemical manufacturing processes. Provide technical coverage for plant trials and startups. Write and train chemical operators on operating procedures for revised processes and equipment. Develop in depth expertise on process equipment used at the plant such as reactors, agitators, heat exchangers, pumps and filters. Write issue and obtain approvals for MCRs and PCFs in support of process improvements. Develop safety procedures to be employed by workers operating equipment. Lead or be a member of PPA (potential problem analysis), JSA (job safety analysis) and PHAs (process hazard analysis) teams. Develop PFDs, P&IDs, mass and energy balances for modified processes. Develop project scopes and write project papers for small and large capital projects. Specify new process equipment including updating/revising equipment specification sheets. Work with equipment vendors and operations to aide in selection. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering Five to 10 years batch processing experience a plus COMPETENCIES Accuracy - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly. Process Safety Management-Working knowledge of OSHA 1910 standard for Process Safety Management. Emergency Response-Includes both internal and external response to plant.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
