Our experienced team members can help our customers identify the IT organization's readiness and ability to implement new Product Centric and IT Operating models with their transition to the cloud. Working with leaders and stakeholders, Professional Services team members help aid customers in defining and implementing solutions that promote cloud adoption, enhance organizational effectiveness, and tie IT to the business. AWS Professional Services engage in a wide variety of projects for customers and partners, providing collective experience from across the AWS customer base and are obsessed about strong success for the customer. Our team collaborates across the entire AWS organization, including access to AWS product and service teams, to get the right solution delivered and drive feature innovation based upon customer needs. An Advisory Product Engineer delivers strategic transformation, development, and operations strategies through:
product-centric thinking, acting as a liaison between the IT and business partnership, and accelerating migrations at all levels. We add value by working with evolving operating models, integrating automation, and promoting pipeline driven approaches that accelerate time to market and feature releases. An Advisory Product Engineer promotes innovation and bridges the gap between people and organization processes. Professional Services engagements focus on key customer solutions in large enterprises, assisting them in integrating and enhancing their enterprise operational processes and tools. We are looking for:
IT professionals experienced in operational support for applications or infrastructure, either on-premises or in the cloud Professionals with experience in platform engineering Experts in ITSM/ITIL process implementation and management Individuals that can enhance organizational effectiveness through business process, change management, incident management, etc. IT professionals that can promote adoption of new operating models, AWS Technologies, and accelerate migrations IT professionals experienced in internalizing customer context while using business and technical skills to design solutions Collaborative cloud operations leaders wanting to dive deep on Cloud Operating Models, product centric thinking, and experience significant cloud migration projects Developers looking to further their abilities in bringing their operations skills into their infrastructure-as-code skillsets Cloud (Public, Private, Hybrid) experts looking to build technical depth on the AWS platform This is a customer facing role. You will be required to travel to client locations and deliver professional services when needed. Key job responsibilities A strategic thinker and proactive developer of solutions with a focus on the customer problem to achieve targeted outcomes and goals. Focus on creating customized solutions aligned to increase our customer's revenue, increase their customer base, and enable them to launch new business. Leverage Amazon's experience in launching innovative and disruptive solutions by collaborating with customer's IT operations management teams and relevant stakeholders on strategic direction, goals, and milestones Understanding and maintaining domain knowledge and expertise in mainstream enterprise operations management concepts and tooling Assess customer's infrastructure and tooling including:
policies, people, organizational structure, people and roles, as well as tactics to mitigate risk with adoption Analyze customer's ITSM/ITIL process such as Problem Management, Change Management, and Incident Management and recommend process improvements based on AWS best practices Collaborate across AWS teams to enable partners to develop new capabilities and capacity to their roadmaps as per customer needs and feedback Architect solutions, which integrate smoothly in hybrid operating models for existing operational infrastructure functions while keeping both business and IT goals aligned Deliver on-site technical engagements with partners and customers BASIC QUALIFICATIONS BS level technical degree or equivalent; Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Engineering background preferred Individual with hands-on technical experience working with IT solution implementations Experience with IT operations (ITIL, TOGAF, or similar ITSM frameworks) Experience with the software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies Ability to prioritize responsibilities while adapting to a fast-paced work environment Experience working on the design, development and deployment of enterprise supporting systems at various scales Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (eg. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.) Track record of working in a collaborative, team-based environment to solve business challenges and drive change Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across various teams PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Masters degree or higher-level education is preferred Understanding of modern development workflows and tools Experience using various public cloud providers Experience in developing technical process documentation Experience in managing, building, and maintaining products (SDLC) 5
years of experience as a technical specialist in customer-facing roles working with automated operational management platforms in a cloud or on-premise environment Ability to work cross functionally to provide feedback and recommendations to IT teams with business value in mind Experience with Application Delivery frameworks and approaches (COTS, Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, Waterfall) Experience in developing product design strategy and roadmap in partnership with the business goals Demonstrated ability to enable customers to transition to a more agile and continuous delivery model Experience with the use of automation in the context of IT operations (Monitoring, Disaster Recovery, Change Management, Incident Management, Governance, etc.) Experience in infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (E.g., shell, Python, Ruby, Powershell, Terraform) Configuration management using Cloud Formation, Chef & Puppet Project Management, Change Management or Process Improvement training and/or certifications. Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Operations ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
