Quality Assurance Analyst - Lead
The IT Quality Assurance (QA) Test Lead will participate in and lead QA team members on creating and executing test plans and test cases, enforce the use of best practices and standards, and leverage automation driving reduction in manual test cases. The ideal candidate must be able to take full ownership of tasks and coordinate QA team members and test case completion across multiple projects. The QA Test Lead must possess a demonstrated ability to lead remote team members, perform to defined timelines, and drive deliverables to completion. Develop project test plans and coordinate with business teams to create user acceptance testing test plans Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork by volunteering to cover ad hoc testing requirements and backfilling for peers as necessary Prioritize test scenarios, coordinate resources, and execute according to plan Develop and document step-by-step test cases based on the software requirements outlined by system and business analysts Partner with Scrum Masters and Product Owners ensuring complete and comprehensive test plans meet business needs for Go Live readiness Develop test scripts in Selenium, continued automation of Regression suites, repeatable time intensive tasks Partner with distributed teams, outside vendors or offshore testing partners as required Manage defect process for IT and Business teams, ensuring clear communication regarding progress and closure. Represent the Product Owner's requirements, understand how they use the system and map test case designs to end user scenarios in test plans and automation Assist QA team with ongoing project and manual testing cycles Assist with Green Zone (Release Window) smoke testing, leveraging automation and manual test executions. Release Windows are typically outside of normal work hours Onboard and train new team members as necessary The Skills you have:
Ability to conduct manual and automated testing In-depth understanding of the various testing concepts (e.g. Functional, Usability, Availability, Performance) Experienced writing/creating automation scripts using Java with Selenium Framework Experience with finding locators and XPath Experience using VMware Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle and Agile-Scrum development methodology Proven creativity and initiative resulting in test coverage and effectiveness Strong verbal and written communication skills across IT teams, management, and business partner levels in formal and informal settings Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to decompose complex problems and perform root cause analysis Functional knowledge of CI/CD process - code merging, branching and source control The Expertise and Education you have :
Experience testing applications in accordance to required functionality and non-functional quality attributes (e.g. Availability, Performance) Experience writing test strategies, plans and test cases 5 - 7 years of experience with testing execution and defect management, and 4-5 years with test automation JavaScript, C#, MS SQL, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, MS Test Manager, Selenium Strong defect, issue logging, documentation and tracking using DevOps or similar defect management tool set Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field.
