Associate Director, OES Strategy & Planning

Purpose:
This position is a critical enterprise leadership role in AbbVie's Operations & Enterprise Systems (OES) organization, as part of the OES Strategy and Planning organization. The Associate Director, OES Strategy & Planning will support strategic planning and continuous improvement efforts using metrics and data. Business outcome is to measure OES's performance, develop insights related to industry trends and benchmarks, and drive opportunities for improvement.
Responsibilities:
Develop a strategy and roadmap for OES analytics and establish Monthly Strategy Review Meetings (SRM) with Executive OES Leadership team. Develop and manage a Leadership dashboard (Strategy Map) and regular releases to track operations and finance metrics against external benchmarks and stated business objectives. Working with Finance, and OES leadership, to define a plan and frequency for industry benchmarking. Responsible to drive the initialization of yearly benchmarks and reporting as part of SRM process, including status of open action items. Establish matrixed OES metrics team to drive maturity from operational to predictive and enabling metrics. Work closely with the OES Finance organization to support initiatives targeting cost optimization from planning through execution. Inform and influence cost-savings initiatives. Working across OES, evaluate IT policies and standards to support initiatives targeting improvements to OES operating model, services and on-going costs (ex. process improvements in Strategy to Portfolio or Requirements to Deploy value streams). Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures. Bachelor's Degree with 9 years' experience or master's degree with 8 years' experience in Business, Computer science or related discipline required. MBA preferred. Experience in project management, business systems analysis, software development or deployment. Key competencies include knowledge of pharma industry, preferably in IT. International mindset and enterprise thinking with ability to build credibility within the organization. Strong communication skills. Expertise in development and implementation of processes for metrics collection and reporting. Must be comfortable with ambiguity; demonstrate problem solving and creative thinking skills, and ability to develop models and reporting dashboards. People leadership including performance management and development.
Salary Range:
$250K -- $500K+
Minimum Qualification
Technology ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
