Position
Summary:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) works closely with the established Dealers to help develop their businesses through planning, organizing, and directing the activities of Britespan USA Sales.
Additionally, the BDM will source, acquire and develop new dealers where we are not currently represented within your territory.
The primary focus of the Agriculture BDM is to support and grow Agricultural leads, customers, and dealers.

Travel Expectations:
This role must have the ability to travel within the US up to 40% on average throughout the year.
Additionally, international travel will occasionally be expected, including to the corporate office in Canada.
Travel, including international, is a job requirement and must be able to be performed, without delay, including any government sanctioned restrictions to cross international borders.

Qualifications:
Education & Knowledge A strong background in successful sales/sales management is required A background in construction is strongly recommended A college degree or technical school diploma is desirable Experience in dealer distribution, development and acquisition is desirable Skills A high level of leadership skill particularly focused in sales Demonstrate a high degree of experience in strategic growth planning and execution Highly experienced in the building industry with a good knowledge of construction The ability to travel within the US up to 40% of the time, internationally occasionally Drive results through relationship building both with internal employees and external partnerships Tolerant of risk Ability to work in a high-pressure environment Proven organizational, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills Able to operate Microsoft Office programs Excel, Word, PowerPoint, navigate and host virtual live meeting programs, and fluent with social media platforms User experience level with a Customer Relationship Management software such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, etc.
Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks Excellent time management Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks and time Experience 5
years sales experience minimum 2
years construction related experience is desirable Significant agricultural working experience, and/or personal experience in agriculture Communication Excellent oral, interpersonal and written communication skills Ability to articulate data presentation on multiple platforms including, Smartsheet, static worksheets, charts and graphics Ability to interact in a team environment and positively contribute to the company missions
Responsibilities:
Acquire and develop new dealers where we are not currently represented Manage, nurture, and maintain relationships with US Dealers, if assigned Provide insight and training to dealers on Agricultural leads Develop and deploy a strong, detailed sales cycle process for self and dealer integration for consistent close rate expectancy Lead dealer sales team in building relationships with business clients and manage negotiations of sales contracts Assist in facilitation of annual International Dealer conferences to encourage information and best practice sharing and synergy amongst dealer network and Britespan Engage and leverage relationships with other Britespan affiliated sales organizations for best practice and strategic development Ensure compliance and utilization of CRM data base as primary housing for data & activities Attend trade shows with dealers Direct sales of agriculture buildings where there is no agriculture dealer for leads assigned to you by the Director Reporting to Operations on forecasting, capacity planning and inventory management Problem solve when there is a sales order, QA, or install challenge Facilitates communication with dealer install teams and engineering to provide input to design changes prior to implementation Work with the marketing department to understand and communicate marketing messages to the field Recruit, organize, train and manage staff for company and dealers Foster a team environment and positive culture Assist with the distribution of leads, determining which leads to pass to dealers and which leads to follow up on directly to ensure a sale has the best potential for closing Requires good hand coordination and finger dexterity to utilize equipment such as telephones; tape measure; hardhat; safety glasses; computers and calculators Other duties as assigned Working Conditions / Physical Demands:
