BU Finance Specialist - Wealth Management
The Specialist role will be focused on supporting revenue and profitability analysis and reporting, identification of growth opportunities, focusing on both trust and banking revenues. Within this role, the Specialist may also lead ad-hoc projects, where he or she will play a critical role in developing and leading the analytics and executive communication of results.
Roles and Responsibilities
Support the reporting and analysis of fee-based revenue, banking fees, and all other income for Wealth Management. Partner with the business to innovate and drive this analysis, providing better insight into levers of profitability, control, and opportunities.
Support the executive communication and analysis of financial revenue results including:
Monthly analysis and reporting for metrics reporting.
Forecasts and Operating plans
Quarterly Operating reviews/analysis (i.e. Investor Relations; Corporate Planning)
Build and maintain best-in class analyses to forecast, plan and analyze actual results, including collaboration with key input providers and stakeholders.
Support the analysis of competitor performance, identify industry trends and communicate results.
Provide finance advisory support in leading and/or participating in ad-hoc business unit initiatives, supporting the Wealth Management Executive Leadership Team.
Experience
10 years of related experience, including demonstrated financial analysis expertise
Financial industry experience is a plus
BS/BA in accounting / finance
MBA and / or CPA is a plus
Knowledge/Skills
Broad financial, strategic and accounting knowledge. Industry knowledge is beneficial.
Strong analytical skills.
Fluency and comfort in working in with key finance technical programs and systems (COGNOS, Hyperion, TM1, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Solid oral and written communication/presentation skills.
Possess the ability to work effectively and build relationships across a matrix structure.
Highly flexible and adaptable to change.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
