Position can work out of Tempe, Arizona or Chicago, Illinois.
Under general supervision (but works independently most of the time) responsible for the day-to-day management of the Alternative Investments team. Organizes the work of the team, assigns tasks, sets short-term priorities, monitors all activities and ensures timely and accurate completion of the work. Possesses the leadership and organizational skills required to prioritize assignments and provide feedback to staff. Conducts performance management and career development processes, and staffing and disciplinary actions. Provides input and support to budget management process. 1.Responsible for supervising a process within the Alternative Investments group, including the assistance in monthly one on ones and performance management process2.Identify error or risk prone areas & build robust controls to mitigate; deliver a work product that requires less revision3.Regularly reviews process documentation assuring that changes are documented on a timely basis4.Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact5.May have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior Management6.Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees7.Organizes the work of the team, assigns tasks, sets short-term priorities, monitors all activities and ensures timely and accurate completion of the work8.Conducts performance management and career development processes, and staffing and disciplinary actions
A College or University degree and/or some relevant work experience is requiredExperience in Capital Markets with exposure to Hedge funds/ Private Equity/ Valuation Reporting/ Reconciliations/ Accounting would be an added advantage Excellent oral and written communication skills are requiredAnalytical and problem solving skills are requiredUnderstanding of Risk, Audit and Compliance functionsLeadership and organizational skills are needed to prioritize assignments and provide feedback to staff



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
