NTHFS is a Hedge Fund Administrator, specializing in administering assets of complex hedge funds.
Summary of the Position's Responsibilities
The job involves working for a Global fund administrator, specializing in administering assets of complex hedge funds. The position requires good experience and background in foreign exchange markets and back office settlement functions. The successful candidate is a mature self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and team focus and is able to function independently in a fast-paced, dynamic and demanding environment. This person is proactive in resolving conflict and demonstrates exemplary follow-through. He/she adds value by working on a number of simultaneous tasks/projects with minimal supervision while paying special attention to detail. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator and works well with clients and partner areas. Familiarity with SWIFT and FX markets, products and settlements is extremely beneficial.
Manage the daily processing and settlement of FX transactions (spot, forwards, options) for clients.
Oversee the FX Exposure offering and provide support to clients
Perform trade matching and affirmation for FX trades on trade date between the client and its counterparties.
Communicate trade discrepancies to clients and assist in resolving mismatches between the client and its counterparties.
Assist in the development of a scalable, controlled and transparent cash processing work flow for all 3rd party FX activity
Effectively communicate with IT to test and implement development and enhancements of our FX offering.
Liaise directly with clients to onboard new clients and establish banking connectivity and solutions that will meet their cash management and FX needs. Administer account implementation process and effectively communicate status to internal partner areas.
Coordinate connectivity with client's banks, custodians and prime brokers through SWIFT. Establish protocol for connectivity to further our objective to become counterparty agnostic.
Accurately define business requirements for IT projects and enhancements for the FX team.
1-4 years of work experience, preferably in FX Middle Office or Operations
Experience in project management and client interaction
Understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures
Familiarity with Hedge Fund structures, products and financial instruments
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Bachelor's degree is required; MBA, CPA or CFA is desired

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
